Magical Mauve

Beautiful deep mauve and mink coloured glass pearls and crystals were used to make this substantial set - and we liked it so much, we decided to make another set in gold, black and white...
Each piece makes a bold and beautiful statement... gorgeous!

Pearl Frost

A very simple RAW design using icy-cool grey and white glass pearls...

Purple Fantasy

Something a little different for this set... a choker instead of a necklace or pendant. We decided on using a piece of soft ribbon as a tie - so much more versatile... and so pretty too!

Ocean Flower

Every now and then, we come across beads so beautiful that we hardly want to use them and just keep them in a box and look at them instead :) Of course, we wouldn't want to keep them to ourselves really, and use them to make beautiful jewellery like this set...

Spiral Motes

We adore these little hanging decorations for the tree - and decided to only make them in silver/white and in gold - this way everyone can add these pretty little spirals to their tree decoration collection!
The gold design has a little star dangling from the bottom, and the silver/white comes with three different choices of snowflake charms added. So sweet! They catch the light so gorgeously - a real sparkler to add to our tree!

Oh, Pea-lease!

Beaders are a funny lot. We really are! Today I was sat here thinking about making jewellery, when I should have been in the kitchen preparing dinner. The guilt of not having a meal on the table for when the family returned home was obviously playing on my mind a little... along with the question of whether I should add pea's to the dinner dish...? You see, beading whilst my mind is on other things can make you do funny things...

Yes, instead of making dinner and dishing up peas, I made the cutest pea-pod necklace. The photographs don't show how sweet this little pendant is - it's so cute!
Maybe I should shirk my kitchen responsibilities more often...?

Soon It'll Be Christmas!

Really... "S" will be putting up her tree tomorrow!
And with all the busy times ahead, we still have time to think up something 'new'. It started with this craze for little bottles, which stemmed from the whole steam-punk fashion craze. Little bottles are cute, and "S" has at least a hundred of them (seriously - she really does have a lot more than a hundred!). So, what could we do with all these cute little 1.5" tall bottles with cork bungs?
"I know!" exclaimed "S" one day... "We'll make them into Christmas decorations".
She made it sound so easy and simple. It wasn't!
First of all, we had to think of designs that would fit into the bottles... then get the fiddly things actually inside the tiny bottles too! Not all our designs are based on beading - though there is some kind of beading on each of the bottles - all of them have beaded ribbon holders. The angels were the hardest - trying to get those little suckers to fit in the bottles was a bit trying to say the least! Maybe angels just shouldn't be stuffed into tiny bottles? Anyway... the end product does look really good - though the close-ups and photography work really does NOT do them justice.

Bit of a shame you can't see the little beaded gold haloes... they really are cute!

Display Designs

When we go to people's homes for a jewellery party, displaying our designs can sometimes be a bit higgledy-piggledy. Thank goodness for Christmas then! We found these cute Christmas Trees and "S" just knew how to use them. They had to be gently wire-brushed and then sprayed to fix the glitter.... but they're perfect for showing off some of our new sets of jewellery. The only problem is that the shop where we bought them have now sold out!
The silver trees are showing off some new designs - all in the Autumn and Winter colours that are a must-have this season!

Cute Cuffs!

Every now and then, we come across a design that we ("S"!) just fall in love with... so much that we (not really "we"... just "S"!) choose to make a lot of the same design in differing colours.
That's what happened here... though we have to say that these bracelets are just so beautiful... we would wear them all the time!
We made some for Autumn (note that the purple design is slightly different, the pattern being a chevron rather than just the diagonal of the others)...
A couple for Christmas...

And then one that was to see if we could use more beads, and bigger beads in a similar design - and this one looks amazing when worn!...

You may be seeing more of these... we're thinking, crystals maybe? and we have some gorgeous mini-pearls in coffee and creams that would look stunning too!

Book Marks!

The crosses that we make have been hugely popular, with commissions coming in from so many people... and we do enjoy making them in the varying colours that people ask for. We decided to incorporate the crosses into charms on metal bookmarks... one pale blue - very Christmassy and icy, and one with a more gothic feel using black glass pearls and deep red delicas.

Teal Lace & Cameo Couture

The following two designs have been a while in the making...
The teal-coloured lace bracelet is one we've done a few times before... but "S" had her heart set on using these beads to make another one... she just had to find somewhere that sold the perfect colour first! The cameo bracelet had begun to be made a long time ago - it was just never put together and finished... until now. The cameo itself is acrylic, as are the faceted 'stones'... but seeing as they went so well together, we decided that using acrylic stones would be okay just this once :)

Hot Reds

We've had a glut of 4mm soft-faceted beads... so every now and then, we make some little bracelets that we sell inexpensively - they're fun and pretty too. It's turned out to be a brilliant way of practising new designs and stitches, using up these beads... and if we really love a design, then we'll transfer the idea to using other beads.

Spinning Spirals

I taught myself a bit of spiral stitch, and used some beads that I had no idea what to do with before. Although I do think the necklaces are pretty, they are time-consuming to make... and a bit boring, as you use the same stitch over and over and over again!
I love the colours of these though... wintery blues and icy whites... and a beautiful autumn-themed necklace of greens, deep orangey golds and bronzy browns.

Purple!!

This bracelet reminds me of a popular brand of chocolate - all decadent in purple and gold. The clasp is over an inch long, and shaped like a vine leaf - and matches the style of the bracelet beautifully. The puple AB rondelles are just gorgeous! In fact, they needed no other embellishment at all to show them off.

I think purple is a great choice for an Autumn colour :)

Triangular Fun

Just a little experiment here making the triangles... but if you wear this bracelet with the chains and charms dangling at the side of the wrist, it's utterly eye-catching and beautiful!
The triangles are a variation on a design by "Beading4Perfectionists" - search for her on You Tube.

Red & Blue

"L" and her RAW "hugs'n'kisses" bracelets... she just loves making them! She chose deep christmas reds, and also icy winter blues for these designs...

Rows Of Rondelles...

"L" and I came across some beautiful rondelle crystals, and just had to snap them up and buy some to make trinkets. "L" made some "hugs'n'kisses" bracelets... but all the items we made were gorgeous, as the crystals were such a lovely quality.

I've only a close-up of these bracelets, as my camera doesn't like glitz and glamour in focus :)

Hello Again!

It's been such a long time since we've updated the site - life has been busy for both of us lately! Unfortunately, bad news has been bangng on the door, and we both have had to stop our beading and get on with 'real life'. Sadly, my little cat went missing on the 23rd of August... and I know there will be many people asking "And?... It's just a cat!", but losing my kitty made me desperately unhappy, and my beadwork suffered. But, life does go onwards, and so we'd both like to introduce some new designs for Autumn and Wnter (and, yes... Christmas too).

I'll be posting a few piccies in the next few hours - as long as the "Trick Or Treat-ers" stop banging on my door for a while... they just know that I'm a softie at heart and always have a bowl full of sweets and treats for any 3 foot witch, wizard, ghoul or monster that comes knocking.

In the meantime....

Bead Happy
all you ghouls and gals ;)

Busy, Busy, Busy

Just a quick note to remind people to keep an eye on our 'News' page - here is where we list our upcoming appearances at fetes, fairs, fundraisers - almost anywhere that we can set up a stall and sell our jewellery to the discerning public :)
We had a wonderful time in Romsey recently, where Diane hosted a jewellery party - we had such a lot of fun! Thank you to all who attended :)

We do have a lot of photographs to upload - but we're selling items quicker than we can get them online at the moment - which is a very good thing really.

We'll try and keep updated when we can... in the meantime - Bead Happy!

Rose Spritzer

We so wish the camera could have picked up the delicate pink hues of this bracelet - the photographs do it little justice.
This piece is a flat-spiral design with swarovski crystals and bicones, with silver-lined seedbeads... lovely for a prom night outfit!

Pretty Poinsettia

"S" thought the reds and golds of this delicate bracelet were so Christmassy... and the red reminded her of Poinsettias. Once again, the camera is refusing to take a decent photograph... but we're perservering!

Guardian Angel

We love these little Guardian Angels...  all in silver-tone, or with clear wings - they look so pretty! We also made these as handbag/purse/phone charms - but as a pendant on a neck chain, they are just so lovely!

Our camera just doesn't want to take good photographs at the moment (not our fault at all - definitely the camera! *lol*), but we hope you can see how sweet these are.

Ring Around The Rosie

We thought we'd take some photographs of the rings we'd made...
From the ornate to the simple... some that match bracelets or necklaces, and some that are just made on their own...

For many of these, you really have to see them on to appreciate how pretty they are - but neither of us wants to hand model!

Frosty Fun

This bracelet and necklace could be worn in any season... look at that pattern - it could be snowflakes, stars, starfish or flowers...
Whatever you want it to be, one thing is sure... It's so pretty!

Tuts Royal Blue

"S" made this simple lace necklace with crystal hilights... and the colours just reminded her of Tutankhamen's mask...

The pattern may have been inspired by a Sandra D.Halpenny design.

Autumn Gold

Loved this simple design of lacy necklace! "S" chose autumn colours and made the "Autumn Gold" necklace, and "L" chose pinks and created the "Fizzy Pink" lace necklace.

Wide-Girl Glitz

Back in the 80's, if a guy had a car and a flick-hair do, loafers and a jacket worn with jeans... well, he'd be called a 'wide boy'. A little bit racy, a little bit naughty... a little bit wild. It desgribed out new design of bracelet perfectly... only they were all a bit girlie, and a lot glitzy!
So we called them "Wide-Girl Glitz"!

Crystal Cuff

These were so much fun to make - of course "S" had the green colours, and "L" chose the blue :)
We always think how funny it is how a different bead - even if it's supposed to be the same size - will end up making a bracelet that's longer or shorter than when using another bead.
Something to ponder...

Going Green!

I really don't know what to call this necklace... it's green, and it's... um... green. The clasp isn't quite right, so it may end up in the 'bargain bucket' at a jewellery party... still - I do love those green seed beads :)
