Magical Mauve

Beautiful deep mauve and mink coloured glass pearls and crystals were used to make this substantial set - and we liked it so much, we decided to make another set in gold, black and white...
Each piece makes a bold and beautiful statement... gorgeous!

Purple Fantasy

Something a little different for this set... a choker instead of a necklace or pendant. We decided on using a piece of soft ribbon as a tie - so much more versatile... and so pretty too!

Spiral Motes

We adore these little hanging decorations for the tree - and decided to only make them in silver/white and in gold - this way everyone can add these pretty little spirals to their tree decoration collection!
The gold design has a little star dangling from the bottom, and the silver/white comes with three different choices of snowflake charms added. So sweet! They catch the light so gorgeously - a real sparkler to add to our tree!

Soon It'll Be Christmas!

Really... "S" will be putting up her tree tomorrow!
And with all the busy times ahead, we still have time to think up something 'new'. It started with this craze for little bottles, which stemmed from the whole steam-punk fashion craze. Little bottles are cute, and "S" has at least a hundred of them (seriously - she really does have a lot more than a hundred!). So, what could we do with all these cute little 1.5" tall bottles with cork bungs?
"I know!" exclaimed "S" one day... "We'll make them into Christmas decorations".
She made it sound so easy and simple. It wasn't!
First of all, we had to think of designs that would fit into the bottles... then get the fiddly things actually inside the tiny bottles too! Not all our designs are based on beading - though there is some kind of beading on each of the bottles - all of them have beaded ribbon holders. The angels were the hardest - trying to get those little suckers to fit in the bottles was a bit trying to say the least! Maybe angels just shouldn't be stuffed into tiny bottles? Anyway... the end product does look really good - though the close-ups and photography work really does NOT do them justice.

Bit of a shame you can't see the little beaded gold haloes... they really are cute!

Purple!!

This bracelet reminds me of a popular brand of chocolate - all decadent in purple and gold. The clasp is over an inch long, and shaped like a vine leaf - and matches the style of the bracelet beautifully. The puple AB rondelles are just gorgeous! In fact, they needed no other embellishment at all to show them off.

I think purple is a great choice for an Autumn colour :)

Rows Of Rondelles...

"L" and I came across some beautiful rondelle crystals, and just had to snap them up and buy some to make trinkets. "L" made some "hugs'n'kisses" bracelets... but all the items we made were gorgeous, as the crystals were such a lovely quality.

I've only a close-up of these bracelets, as my camera doesn't like glitz and glamour in focus :)

Pretty Poinsettia

"S" thought the reds and golds of this delicate bracelet were so Christmassy... and the red reminded her of Poinsettias. Once again, the camera is refusing to take a decent photograph... but we're perservering!

Tuts Royal Blue

"S" made this simple lace necklace with crystal hilights... and the colours just reminded her of Tutankhamen's mask...

The pattern may have been inspired by a Sandra D.Halpenny design.

Autumn Gold

Loved this simple design of lacy necklace! "S" chose autumn colours and made the "Autumn Gold" necklace, and "L" chose pinks and created the "Fizzy Pink" lace necklace.

Crystal Cuff

These were so much fun to make - of course "S" had the green colours, and "L" chose the blue :)
We always think how funny it is how a different bead - even if it's supposed to be the same size - will end up making a bracelet that's longer or shorter than when using another bead.
Something to ponder...

Modern Millie

"S" seems to have lost her marbles... and found pearls instead! She's ordering in loads of pearls and seed beads in pink, black and white... so "L" has been slaving away trying to create some new collections with a fun, modern feel.
Welcome to the "Modern Millie" collection...

Crusade

"L" has gone MAD... making RAW bracelets with any crystals, gems, pearls and beads she can get her hands on... it's becoming quite a crusade :)
Her latest...
a gorgeous crystal bracelet with hints of gold...
With earrings to match!

Duchess

"Ooh...  wearing this I'd feel as if I should go and have tea with the Duchess" said "S". Duchess? "What Duchess?" asked "L"... but  there was no reply as "S" had the idea that the pretty mauve-y/pink and gold bracelet needed extras - like earrings and a necklace - and off she went into her own little world of jewellery design! Well, at least her ramblings gave us a name for the set...

Moroccan Twist

After making these separate pendant pieces, I decided that they'd best be used in a necklace. I thought they had a bit of a Moroccan feel to them... the twist is using black AB crystals  instead of  a usual Moroccan dark blue to match with the gold colour of the seed beads
Only one of the rectangular clasps can be undone, and having two clasps on the sides of the piece made a pretty and unusual feel to the necklace.

Weave, Wave and Twist!

Still using up those mega-brilliant deal hex beads, here's a few more designs:
The Wave:
Egyptian Gold
 Twenties Silver
The Weave:
SilverLeaf
and a bracelet inspired by a tutorial found at BellaOnline called the 5R bracelet (I think).

St Petersburg & Pharoah

It's fun learning new stitches... after a quick refresher course on St Petersburg and Ladder stitches, we came up with these:
The St Petersburg - delicate and pretty with a little Art Nouveau twist:
And the little set we called "Pharoah"... just because it looked a little Egyptian, and a bit like upside-down pyramids)...

Swarovski Check

This is one that was made 'off the cuff', so to speak :)
A few crystals and beads were just hanging around, and so I sort of strung them together. I also had an amazing deal on some hex beads and have been working on designs to showcase them a bit...
I do like the bracelet... I'm just not sure if the clasp is strong enough, so I may add a safety chain.

Jewel Lace

To be honest there's only so many different stitches you can use in creating pretty bracelets, so we've been adapting patterns to make our own designs.

These designs were inspired by a free pattern provided by Sandra D. Halpenny - and we've invested in buying a few of her tutorials/designs too - reasonably priced and oh, so beautiful!

Indian Summer

This set reminded me so much of Indian jewellery, but less ornate... though still very pretty and wearable.

Racy Lacy...

Some bracelets are a bit addictive. You make one, and then end up wondering how it would look in other colours, others crystals or gems... That's how it was with the lacy bracelets. It started off with the Victoriana Romance, quickly followed by the Clear Crystal:
 Then the Nouveau:
And also the Gold Glint:
